Publication accompanying group exhibition „Beyond borders. Processed Body – Expanded Brain – Distributed Agency” in LAZNIA CCA.
The texts collected in the book, written by both researchers and the artists presenting their works at the exhibition, are discussing the subject of interaction of artistic trends with science, particularly neurology and neural engineering, research on artificial intelligence and robotics, synthetic biology and psychology. By shedding light on the problems and practices usually represented in scientific circles, the exhibition and the book offer an opportunity to look at the consequences of shifting them to the artistic domain, and thereby to the field of cultural reflection, transforming them into the subject of a multifaceted (aesthetic, cognitive and ethical) analysis.
